A Community Dance Piece for the young and not so young working with multigenerational participants from all backgrounds. No dance experience is necessary.
The project will aim at working in pairs with the piece being choreographed around the groups of 2 people. Individuals will be very welcome and will be partnered up with other individuals. The minimum age to take part is 8 years old and will allow children to partner their mums, dads, sisters, brothers or grannies and granddads.
The only rule is to allow at least a 10 year age gap between the ages of each partnership pairing.
So whatever your age come along with a friend or family member for a truly wonderful experience
Over the course of a week the dancers will be led through a creative process of new intergenerational dance work, exploring the theme with each other. Each participant will be challenged to explore the art of movement and discover new things about themselves and their partner. The workshops lead up to 2 performances on stage at Swansea Metropolitan University and Neath College.
